Here is the good news for H-1B visa holders, the US House has passed a Bill on removing the country cap on Green Cards.


The H-1B is a visa in the United States under the Immigration and Nationality Act, section 101 that allows U.S. employers to temporarily employ foreign workers in specialty occupations.

In a welcome step for Indian techies working in the United States on an H-1B visa, two lawmakers in the US have jointly presented a bill that attempts to expand the number of green cards issued every year and make changes to the current immigration policy.


The bill was introduced even as another Bill, the S386 Immigration Bill, seeking to usher in a liberalized green card regime, is set for a vote in the US Senate on Thursday night (India time).
