Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come out in praise of filmstar Deepika Padukone and ace shuttler PV Sindhu for giving their support to the ‘Bharat ki Laxmi’ campaign. Throughout his latest radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on September 29, PM Modi had spoken of starting the program to honor girls who have created their mark in numerous fields.

“India’s Nari Shakti epitomizes talent and tenacity, determination and dedication. Our ethos has always taught us to strive for women empowerment. Through this video, @Pvsindhu1 and @deepikapadukone excellently convey the message of celebrating #BharatKiLaxmi,” he tweeted.

In the video, shared by the Padmaavat actress on social media, Deepika and PV Sindhu are seen telling their stories and encouraging people to nominate women who have contributed to the society and made name for themselves.

Bharat ki Laxmi’ is a campaign to honor India’s daughters who have made a mark in various fields.
