Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis in a letter to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray demanded to make Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Tanaji- The Unsung Warrior’ movie tax-free in the state.
Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, the 17th Century military leader of Chhatrapati Shivaji, founder of the Maratha Empire.
In his letter to the Chief Minister, Fadnavis said that Tanaji Malusare was a brave warrior. More and more people should watch this film as his bravery is an example of the new generation.
A close associate of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and famous Maratha Warrior, Tanaji Malusare sacrificed his life in the Battle of Sinhagad. Maharashtra has strong devotees of Shivaji and therefore it is very important for this film to reach the Marathi people and remember the historical memories.
Tanhaji which also stars Kajol and Saif Ali Khan have been unstoppable at the box-office. The movie has collected Rs. 75.68 crore till now and has been receiving tremendous reviews by both reviewers and viewers.
