Nagpur district continues to throw normal life out of gear with registering 1957 new COVID-19 positive cases in one single day on Tuesday, an official release said.
Following the addition, the cumulative number of COVID-19 positives reached to 55,430.
On Tuesday, 48 patients succumbed to the infection, the toll has surged to 1753.
Of these, 1321 deaths reported from the city , 275 from rural and rest 157 from out of Nagpur, the release said.
However, on Tuesday 1666 patients got discharge from various hospitals in the district, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 42333 (including 24085 home isolation recoveries), the release said.
Now the total active cases are 11,344 including 5757 asymptomatic cases advised for home isolation, the release added.
